How to read the map
Each point is a food. Moving right means more calories; moving up means more protein. Both are measured per 100 g. Select a point to see its calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and the state in which it was measured.
Search or filter to find foods, and drag, scroll, or pinch to explore the map. Triangles at an edge represent values beyond the visible scale. Settings can add lines showing protein per 100 kcal or include the extended dataset.
Keep in mind
100 g is not a serving.
It is a common reference that makes foods easier to compare, but typical portions vary enormously. Oils, nuts, and seeds, for example, are usually eaten in much smaller amounts.
Water and preparation matter.
Values apply to the state shown. Rice, pasta, and legumes absorb water when cooked, while other foods lose water. Their values per 100 g can therefore change substantially.
Foods vary.
Brands, recipes, cuts, fat levels, and added ingredients can make two products with the same name very different. The figures are representative estimates, not exact values for every product.
This is not a health score.
The map shows calories and macronutrients—not fiber, micronutrients, sodium, added sugars, processing, satiety, protein quality, or how a food fits into a meal or overall diet.
